Mission Statement

Caliber Law Group was formed to provide a voice for the citizens of Alaska. Both attorneys have long histories in Alaska, and the North Slope in particular, and bring a unique set of experiences, contacts, and skills to address their clients' legal needs. Our goal is to protect the lives and welfare of Alaskans and serve the needs of the community. With Offices in Kotzebue, Barrow, and the Mat-Su Valley Caliber Law Group is a flexible and mobile law firm that can provide critical advice or representation anywhere in Alaska.

Robert Campbell

Robert Campbell was born in Fairbanks in 1971. He graduated from Barrow High School and went on to earn a BA in English from Western Washington University. After returning to Barrow Robert joined the police department and worked there for six years, serving in both Barrow and Anaktuvuk Pass as a patrol officer. He later left to Scotland and obtained an Honours Degree in Scottish Law at the University of Strathclyde. Robert then attended Boston University where he graduated with an American Law Degree.  He has also studied Astrophysics at New Mexico Tech and Medieval History at Glasgow University. He served the Mat-Su Valley as an Assistant District Attorney in 2006-2007 and in 2008 formed Caliber Law Group. Robert is an avid and enthusiastic advocate for the people of Alaska and is also an assistant coach on the Barrow High School Football team.  He splits his time between the offices in Barrow, Kotzebue, and the Valley. 

David Roghair

David Roghair grew up in Barrow, Alaska, where he graduated as valedictorian of his high school class.  David then graduated from Stanford University, with a double major in Psychology and Slavic Languages and Literatures and spent a semester at the Moscow Campus in Russia. He then earned a master of arts degree in Russian and East European Studies at the University of Kansas.  Before law school, David worked in the International Banking Group of Commercial Bank of San Francisco and the Stanford Overseas Studies Program, and volunteered extensively on local housing issues in the California Bay Area.  While at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, David served as an editor of the Environmental Law Review, and had works published in both that journal and the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation.  David also completed internships at the Oregon Advocacy Center and a Bethel, Alaska law firm.  Upon graduation from law school in 2006, David returned to Alaska and worked in private practice in Bethel before joining Caliber Law Group in 2008.  When not in the office, David can be found training for and running marathons and ultramarathons, baking, and enjoying the outdoors.
